Seminar Description and Structure
Novice level and Excellent level – 12 working spots total
½ day working per level, ½ day auditing alternate level
Novice: working single hides in novel environments. Interiors and Containers.
Excellent: working multiple hides and complex odor problems. Interiors.

Check in and set-up 8:45 – 9:00 a.m.
- Participating dogs requirements NOVICE level:
- Dog working Birch only hides
- 3’ height hides
***Dogs will be given equal amounts of search times. If your dog is distracted, difficult to get to work, spending time crittering instead of searching, you will not be able to complete all the searches. It is unfair for teams that train regularly to lose search time for teams that do not.***
- Participating dog requirements EXCELLENT level:
- Dog working Birch, Anise Clove, odor only hides
- 4’ hides
- Able to move on from found hides without physical restraint by handler
- Inaccessible hides (hides in cabinets, drawers)
***Dogs will be given equal amounts of search times. If your dog is not prepared for the hide difficulty offered and takes additional time over other teams, you will not be able to complete all the searches. It is unfair for teams that train regularly to lose search time for teams that do not.***
- WORKING SPACES ARE VERY LIMITED. Teams selected for a working dog spot will be notified by email including a link to submit payment within 5 days of notification. Working dog teams will be selected based on their skill level and instructor’s determination of appropriateness. Please be sure to read the cancellation policy below before registering. Working spots will be selected by November 6, 2019.
- AUDITORS: Last day to sign up is November 13, 2019. Payment required to secure your spot.
Working Dog Teams
- Dogs will need to be comfortable staying in the car. Please bring bedding, cool covers, pop-ups, fans or whatever your dog needs to be made comfortable and cool/warm enough in between working exercises.
- Dogs must be able to stay quietly in their vehicles out of sight from their handlers. Overly disruptive dogs (as determined by instructor) may require handler to stay with dog between runs. Plan to cover your dog to remove visual overstimulation.
- Only one dog per handler will be selected but you may submit more than one of your dogs for consideration. Should space not fill, space will be made available for 2nd dogs. Note which dog you prefer.
- Working spots will be selected by November 6, 2019.
Seminar Cost (includes lunch)
Working Spot Saturday/Sunday (2-days) – $140
Audit Only Spot per day – $35
Helper Working Spot: 4 helper spots available – $120

There is no discount should you choose not to audit the sessions you are not working.
